This is a beatiful cry about molestation.

To God be the Glory.

Lilian Levite “Mercy”.

She has been washed.

I cried at this, it’s deep!

Ayla put me on to where this is originally posted.

To Lilian,

You are doing exactly what God expects of His people; when He lifts you, you share it and you share your pain and your redemption. May He bless your life and let souls be saved and the wounded made whole.

Your sister in Christ.

10 Ways To Attract Positive Energy

Healing + Body, Spirit and In-Spirit-ation

Spirit Lights The Way

We are magnets.  When we emit positive energy (thoughts, feelings, and vibrations), we attract more positives to us.

Bueno!  Life, she is good!

Mangia!  Mangia!

When we dwell on the negatives, we attract negatives ~ sapping our energy and strength in the process.

If you’re tired of living under a perpetual rain cloud, keep reading!

Yes, Eeyore, you too!

If we want to attract heath, wellness, and vitality to ourselves, we must stop circulating (and re-circulating) toxic, negative thoughts and feelings.

Here are 10 Ways to Attract Positive Energy into your life, while boosting your immune system, curing dis-ease, and counter-balancing daily stress:

1.  Love and accept yourself as you are right now.  Start a list to remind yourself of all your wonderful qualities.  Add to it every day.

E.g.,  I am the most positive person I know.

2.  Free yourself from past resentments and disappointments about who you were yesterday.  Stop engaging in self-blame and guilt for past acts and omissions.  Today is the first day of the rest of your life.  Revel in it.

Chris Brown and A Nation of Raped Boys

Healing + Body

Olivia A. Cole

chris brown rape

Yesterday I read an article in which Chris Brown discussed the age at which he lost his virginity. He was 8, he says, and the girl was 14 or 15. He mentions that in “the country” he and his cousins watched a lot of porn, so by age 8 he was “hot to trot.” Maybe so. Children can have sexual feelings at 8, but whether they can consent to sex at age 8 is an entirely different subject. Sex at age 8 is rape, especially given the fact that the girl involved was significantly older, a teenager. Chris Brown was raped, but to hear him tell it, that experience was positive, healthy. Something to brag about. “At eight, being able to do it, it kind of preps you for the long run, so you can be a beast at it.”

And the worst part? This isn’t the first time I’ve…

Ritual of Healing #5: Embracing your dark side

Ritual of Healing #5: Embracing your dark side

The Shadow: psychologist Carl Jung broke down that all our unsavory and negative emotions, behaviors, tendencies, and memories combine to create our hidden and unconscious vulnerablities and weaknesses. Dang, turning that finger that points to other people and circumstance to who it needs to be pointed at, i.e. YOU, is something else.

i know that i am at fault on this one; i stay avoiding that “mean/don’t give a damn/selfish/judgemental Lauren”. J. Cole actually has a song called “2Face” (that I recommend and used to play evry morning getting my outfit on) that speaks to this idea of us switching gears between two poles. Man, honestly, just allowing yourself to be authentic and alive in the emotion, positive or negative, is empowering. I had had this obsession with always seeing the good or making excuses for why I should be the bigger person in the scenario (I really think it was remenants of my highly involved dabbling in Buddhism/Hinduism/Taoism/metaphysics/laws of Ma’at that left no room for showing out/clowning/goin off when it was truly warranted.)

Little do you know, we all have periods in our lives where we look back and say “Damn, I was terrible!!” or “That was painful-embarassing-sad” and you know what, those occasions serve as character building.

The Japanese aesthetic view of Wabi-sabi centers on the transience and imperfection of art/life. Roughness, asymmetry, irregularity=BEAUTY

A powerful concept.

anyway, on last night, I took a look in the mirror and said, “I love evry cell in my body, evry vein of my soul, and evry beat of my heart.” especially the Shadow.

Winter Blues ‘n Trickery

love life

Winter Blues ‘n Trickery
How many of us have friends, family members, and folks we just happen to know that are presently under the weather? *please raise your hand* Now, I just hate this! A number of them cart themselves and their children to the doctor, straight off. I have friends who think pills, shots, and medication are a magic wand and will take beaucoup amounts of whatever they’ve been prescribed. Ain’t researched the medicine, tried to find a natural cure or answer, changed the diet, lifestyle, or habits, drank more water, or nothing, but you just expecting magic and miracles from these doctors. Honey, please come back to Earth! Are we so far removed from our nature that our bodies’ heeding for us to stop/change/listen goes unnoticed? To summarize K. Kia Bunseki Fu-Kiau’s Self Healing Power and Therapy: Old Teachings from Africa, any bump, scratch, sore, drip, and I don’t know what else that you experience is your body’s warning signal, a yellow light, that seems to say HEEYYY something is wrong. Moving right along to the title, “Winter Blues ‘N Trickery”, I know how easy it is to get into bluesing with the weather being brick (cold), but instead use them hours that you’ve been forced to stay in the crib to reflect, plan, motivate, and enjoy yourself and your own company. Cuz one can be easily “tricked” into fear of this contrived flu epidemic.

On my very first post, I encourage you to drink more water, eat more fruit, more vegetables, dance, laugh, run, and pay attention.
