Today’s Scripture of the day is Proverbs 16:18:

“Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall.”

‭‭PROVERBS‬ ‭16:18‬ ‭AMP‬‬

I ask the Lord to forgive me for my pride. Looking at the definition, I realize how easy it is to fall into pride! Pride will take over, and you do not even have the faintest idea that the way you answered that text message is pride! Or because you won’t communicate with others, that is pride! I am saddened at my ignorance to the truth about my pride and I am grateful that my eyes have been opened!

Ask yourself if you can see where pride needs to be cut out of your heart.

Father God, in Jesus’ name, I ask you to work pride out of us and free us from this ugly mentality. Lord, many, including me, are blinded to our ways and their impacts. Help us to turn from this and be more holy as You are holy and be honest enough to face our fears about what ever we are suffering and stop hiding because of our pride. Help us, dear Lord, to be humble and not boast in what we can do and be puffed up. Help us to esteem others better than ourselves and ask forgiveness to those our pride has effected. Please forgive me. In Jesus’ name, amen!

So I have accepted it…after four years, I can acknowledge being a Koi fish-outta-water living in Nashville.

Now, y’all my Daddy was in the military and I have lived all over the states, but I got here and was stifled–culturally-stifled. The image of Nashville that is highly promoted is of a country Caucasian oasis with cowboy boots and Prince’s hot chicken. However, when you get here, Nashville is a blend of Kurds, Ethiopians, Japanese, and more.

This is a topic I will explore more…

“I am healthy.”

I have begun to correct my wrongs ❤

Fast food, lack of sleep, maximum stress, no time to grocery shop or meal plan unless created, and worst of all, I am a person who loses weight when stressed because I do not want food. So I decided to talk to myself about where I want to be. “I am healthy.” We know that the Word is powerful. John 1:1-3, “In the beginning, was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.” It is redundant to say that the Word was first, before I can be healthy, I must believe I can be healthy and then speak life.

“I am healthy.”

From my statement in faith, I must transform my actions to match my declaration.
Faith & Works

“I am healthy”, and I mean that in complete way: spiritually, emotionally, socially, physically, and sexually.

Each way is a result of thought, words, and action.

I saw a beautiful dog 🐶 🐕 at the Murphy USA name Honey. I encouraged a sister to put her child at Ezell-Harding Christian (she saw my Ezell t-shirt and asked if I taught there…I used to but I still co-sign Ezell ❤️♥️☺️🥰) and paid for gas with a gentleman named Timothy. All these are signs that everything IS GONNA BE ALRIGHT!
